Military Competence Exam (MCA) Procedures:
  1. Schedule your appointment by calling the hangar office at 580.366.5951 or 580.402.4167.
  2. Study the gouge (we will e-mail it to you after you schedule your appointment).
  3. The cost of the exam is $100.00. Payment can be made by credit card (Visa or Master Card), cash, or check made out to Aviator’s Wing.
  4. Two (2) forms of ID are required. Without two acceptable forms of ID, you will not be able to take any FAA exam. Acceptable forms of ID are:
After the Exam: After you pass the written MCA test, you will need to meet with our local Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) to obtain your Certificate. You will need to bring the following items to the DPE:
  1. Cash or check for the certificate processing fee
  2. A copy of your instrument rating application found in your NATOPS jacket (US Navy) or Log Book Excerpt (USAF)
  3. A copy of your Designation/Completion letter which states that you are a winged aviator (presented to you with your winging certificate)
  4. The stamped/embossed test report of the FAA Military Competence Test from Aviator’s Wing Test Center
  5. If you have T-34 or T-6 time: Logbook showing a Military PIC checkout or 10 hours PIC in the category and class of aircraft you have flown within the preceding 12 calendar months (Single or Multi-Engine)
  6. Any FAA pilot certificates you currently hold (If you have misplaced your certificate, please call for instructions)
  7. FAA medical if you have one (a medical is not required to process your paperwork)
